HAPPY GANESHA CHATURTHI

Paramahamsa Vishwananda wished everyone a happy Ganesha Chaturthi and shared more beautiful insights.
Firstly, I want to wish you all happy Ganesha Chaturthi. It’s a festival for Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. I pray that he removes all obstacles from your spiritual path, your worldly path and removes all obstacles from your life. Most obstacles are created by ourselves in our mind and we like to put those obstacles on somebody else. Firstly, we have to clean and cleanse our mind from all obstacles. If we let our mind wander around, we will never be able to calm it. Through the grace of Giridhariji, Sriman Narayana, may the mind be surrendered to the Lotus Feet of the Lord Himself.
Ganapati means the Lord which prevails over the mind. May he purify your mind because when your mind is purified, you have more self-confidence. When you have more self-confidence, you can achieve great things on the spiritual path and the worldly path. Like Krishna said in the Gita, we have to have a goal in life and the goal is Him. When we are clear on the goal, He will give all the strength and power you need and He will assist you so that you can be who you truly are. May Lord Ganesha bless all of you.
Let your mind be surrendered to the Feet of Sriman Narayana. May His Love shine through all of you because you are all part of Him. Let Him shine through you, and through you to everybody else. We want peace in this world, but we have to become peace. We want changes in this world, but we have to change ourselves first. Where does that start? It starts with the mind. When the mind is surrendered to the Feet of Sriman Narayana, the Feet of God, then love will awaken inside of your heart. Otherwise, when the mind is agitated, we try to find that love elsewhere. We find it for a short while, but then it goes away. Find the treasure He placed inside of you and let Him shine through you.
Let your mind be surrendered to the Feet of Sriman Narayana.
In this world, we are one family. If we don’t stand by each other, we will become weak. On the spiritual path, we realise, like Lord Krishna said, that it is Him in each one of us. When we see Him in each one, we can only love.
Earlier I was listening to one beautiful story of when Rama went to fight Ravana in Lanka. Of course, Ravana was defeated. As Ravana was dying, he looked at Rama and said to Rama, ‘I applause your victory. I knew that I would lose, but the victory You won is because You have Your brother next to You. Look at me, my brother is opposed to me.’
God is God and God is that Love that unites one another. That Love is what will create unity. That bond is stronger when we centre our mind on it. I pray to Lord Ganesha that he removes all the obstacles for you, in your mind, in your life and in this world and that everybody can live in peace.
Jai Gurudev! Blessing to all of you!
