Day 5/9 | Exploring Bhadrachalam
Following the Master | East India Pilgrimage 2019
05 February 2019

After reaching Bhadrachalam late last night, we visited the well-known Sri Sitarama Swami Temple this morning. This special temple was established and is known for Saint Ramadasu (1620-1680), who had built this temple for the svayambhu murtis of Sri Sita Rama. Sri Ramadasu was also a great poet and devotional singer for Sri Rama.
After receiving Darshan, we went to a place, a little bit up the hill, where Ramadasu used to live and serve in the temple.

After lunch, on the way to the banks of the Godavari river, to Guruji's great delight we found a chili plantation and had great joy roaming around the field!
Arriving at the Godavari river, we visited the place where Sri Rama used to stay with Sita during part of their exile in the forest. This temple also has the footprints of Rama and Sita by the side of the temple.
Guruji spent some sweet moments with the Chinese group who offered puja to His feet.
Jai Gurudev
