#9 | Kirtan on the Boat on the Yamuna River
Following the Master | Holi Vrindavan India 2020
15 March 2020
The day started with visiting the famous temple of a self-manifested deity known as Radha Raman and the samadhi of Gopala Bhatta Goswami. Then the group proceeded to Nidhivan, a sacred forest of tulsi trees, where it is believed that Rasa-lila still takes place every night.
Meanwhile, Guruji started to perform abishekam to His Giridhariji at the ashram and encouraged everybody afterwards to do their japam together with Him in silence. It was a magical moment.
In the afternoon, Gurudev went with the group on the much-awaited Yamuna boat trip. As the boats went sailing through the peaceful waters of Yamuna, everybody joined in a joyful kirtan. When Guruji stood up on the boat, people could not help but wonder how accurate this image was - as Guruji is truly the one who takes us to the other shore of the ocean of existence.
After evening prayers, again filled with kirtan and dancing, Guruji gave a short satsang about the importance of staying positive and fearless in these difficult times, without panicking, as mainstream media inspire us to do, but rather having firm faith in God and finding our strength in the Divine. He reminded us how blessed we all are to be in Vrindavan and to stay here, celebrating Holi, especially in this time, when the entire world is filled with fear.
At the end of the farewell satsang Gurudev gave everyone a small gift of a tulsi mala and blessed all the deities of the participants. The evening finished with kirtan and arati.
