#4 | Maha Lakshmi Yagna
Following the Master | Mauritius Pilgrimage 2019
Friday morning was a free day and some devotees took the opportunity to start the day with preparation for Maha Lakshmi Yagna. We had around 225 kunds in total, made with bricks in the yard of Sri Ranganath Temple. In the evening, Guruji performed Lakshmi Puja during the night of Dhanteras, the first day that marks the festival of lights: Diwali.
Saturday started with Maha Lakshmi Yagna with more than 250 people participating in the prayer. Guruji explained the importance of doing Maha Lakshmi Yagna during Kartik month. On this auspicious day, devotees worship Maha Lakshmi and Kubera for spiritual wealth and prosperity.
The Maha Lakshmi Yagna, the holy fire ceremony, lasted about five hours. The five main suktams were chanted and Guruji said that the puja is not only for the people performing it but also for the whole of humanity.
In the evening, Guruji initiated around 10 devotees who are now part of the Bhakti Marga Mauritius family. They received the Grace of our spiritual Master who said that when we become devotees we need to have complete trust in Him as He is the one taking care of us.
Right afterwards, He also initiated devotees into Atma Kriya level 2. Guruji explained the technique of Atma Kriya level 2 and said that He is giving us this grace and we shouldn't waste it but do Kriya every day and not once a month. Everything ended well with His grace and preparation for Diwali started: devotees made all sorts of Diwali cakes and set up the stage for the Ram Leela play scheduled later today.
