#3 | Sudarshana Yajna
Following the Master | Vrindavan India 2020
Guruji started the day with a powerful Sudarshana yagna for protection of all the devotees and all the people in the world. While He recited Sudarshana Kavacham and other powerful protective Sudarshana mantras, devotees had also a chance to offer samagri to the sacred fire.
In the afternoon Guruji again did japa with everybody. Nearly 1,000 people joined Him online.
Right after japa, Guruji once again went live online to answer some of the questions that people had submitted. During the satsang, He explained the difference between faith and expectation, as well as reminded us how important it is that we forgive ourselves all our mistakes and that we learn to accept ourselves the way we are. At the end of the livestream Guruji sent everybody His love, including a 'virtual hug', which was deeply touching for many. (You can watch the recording on YouTube.)
Later in the evening, Gurudev announced that from the next day on, the entire ashram would go into a 2-week long quarantine. Initially, Guruji scared everybody a little, by saying that all should just stay in their rooms, take care of their food and other supplies, and not come for prayers at all, but soon He started to laugh and joke with everybody, and said that with some precautions all the people staying in the ashram could join the prayers and japam. Guruji also reminded us once again that it is a perfect time for all of us to deepen our sadhana and study.
The next day, the ashram was empty in the morning. Since there was a curfew in India from 7 am till 9 pm, only a few people were allowed in during morning prayers. At 12:00, Guruji also did a small, but joyful kirtan with a few devotees. Even though the group was very small due to restrictions, Guruji was dancing happily, while the Divine Name was chanted vigorously.
In the afternoon, Guruji went live online again with silent japa practice. Right after the practice, He requested everyone to join all of India with blowing conches, clapping their hands, ringing bells and playing the manjiras at 5 pm local time. Guruji brought our attention to the fact that this day, when the curfew was scheduled by the Indian government, is also astrologically very significant, since it is the day before the New Moon, when negativities become most powerful. At 5 pm, the entire neighbourhood of Giridhar Dham, and all the surrounding ashrams, houses and temples resounded with a powerful sound of conches, drums, manjiras and people clapping their hands, to ward off the virus with the power of sacred vibration. Guruji Himself was blowing the conch and encouraging others to do so, as well as lighting fireworks. Guruji reassured everybody afterwards that now everything will be restored back to balance with Giridhari’s grace.
After this powerful and magical moment, Guruji gave another online satsang. During the satsang Gurudev reminded us that only those who are destined to be on spiritual path have the grace to be invited to it. He also said that only those who are strong enough and ready to handle being around the satguru can be close to Him, as well as reminded us that we always need to start from building our relationship with guru and God within. (You can watch the recording on YouTube to hear the entire satsang.)
In the evening, Guruji joined everybody during the arati and was dancing and clapping joyfully.
But the main attraction of the day took place after dinner, late at night. Guruji invited all those staying in Giridhar Dham to join the exciting games of Bhakti Crosswords and Bhakti Quiz. Matajis were playing against prabhus. At the end of the long evening, the prabhus were badly defeated by the matajis, but everyone had a lot of fun.
