#3 | Inauguration Day
Following the Master | South America Tour 2019
Today was the main inauguration day! More than 100 devotees gathered for the ceremonies at the ashram of Cavalcante. The festivities began with Guru Puja followed by Vishwaksena Puja and Kalash Puja. After this, the people all gathered to participate in the yagna, as we chanted several mantras in dedication to Sri Radha Krishna. We began by chanting Sri Radha Krishna bhyam namaha for a couple of rounds before Guruji closed His eyes and then said that the mantra should change to Sri Sri Radha Giridhariye namaha. After a few rounds, the yagna was finished and Guruji told us all that these were the names of the deities we were about to install.
Then we began the abhishekam, offering various juices in addition to the regular ingredients. The devotees sang tirelessly and the more they sang, the more the people got up and danced until, by the time the deities were dressed, decorated beautifully, and the curtains opened, everyone was on their feet dancing with so much joy!
We finished the puja, and then Guruji offered prasad to everyone and sat with them, answering questions privately. He tied the yagna string around everyone’s wrist and, to some, He gifted a special Lakshmi coin. The ceremonies finished and everyone was blissful, yet exhausted too, so we all called it a night and went to sleep.
