# 13 | God is in the Simple Things
Following the Master | Mauritius 2020-21

Many newcomers started coming and are amazed by Guruji’s Love. At every darshan, a new person appears willing to organise and invite Guruji to give darshan at their place. One of them was in another temple, at Shiva Priya Ram Mandir, not so far away from our temple, with a large hall packed with more than 700 people and covered again by the Mauritius national television. Now everyone knows that Guruji is on the island!
Right now we are having darshan in a different place at least once a week. Together with the online darshans, Guruji is giving, on average, one darshan per day! But we were thinking, what is a darshan? Normally for those of us who have already taken many of them, we feel this joy from just finding His eyes in front of us, this unique moment of connection that makes the whole week something meaningful and special. But behind that connection is also His work. He is not just watching our eyes and smiling, and everyone can testify how their lives changed in the last few months because He's been spending more time with us.
Recently Guruji shared in a satsang about a person who came for darshan. She had been colourblind all her life but after the blessing, she started seeing in colours again! Miracles like this are happening all around. People come with all kinds of problems to Him and of course, He helps them or tells them what they need to do. But how many of us have come to Him to develop a love-relationship with God? Not so many.
Despite so many devotees coming, Guruji still finds time for His daily walks including a trek up Le Pouce - a mountain in the west of the island in the super early hours of the morning. He was always trying to push us a little bit higher. He guided us up the mountain like He guides us to reach the Lotus Feet of the Lord.
God is in the Simple Things
One night, when only a few people were around, He bestowed His grace and mercy on a couple who were asking for help for someone else in a difficult situation. Being touched by Guruji's amazing act of compassion, we wrote the story on social media, to share this with the world.
After a few hours, Guruji Himself called this person and asked them to delete the post. He said, 'It is nice and I appreciate that you want to encourage people to meet me, but if it would be about bringing people with miracles, I can do it myself very easily, do you understand? But it will just attract people looking for the wrong things.'
He is sincerely committed to only one goal, to open our hearts and bring us to God. Nothing else. Material manifestations and other miracles can be distracting. This path is about developing a sincere devotion to God. The biggest miracle is the transformation of people and opening their heart to experience the connection with the Supreme.
