#10 | The Final Day
Following the Master | Holi Vrindavan India 2020
16 March 2020
This was the last day of a spiritual journey with Gurudev in Vrindavan. After morning prayers, an auction of Guruji’s items took place, accompanied by inspiring stories told by Swami Paranthapa.
The last lecture during our journey was given by Param Jyoti Das, who explained to us the importance of chanting the Divine Name and the right attitude of doing so, as per the teachings of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu himself given in the eight verses of the Shikshashtakam. Mahaprabhu wrote: 'One should chant the holy name of the Lord in a humble state of mind, thinking oneself lower than the straw in the street; one should be more tolerant than a tree, devoid of all sense of false prestige, and should be ready to offer all respect to others.'
During the lecture, Guruji was silently doing his japam in the temple and encouraging people to listen to the lecture attentively.
Most of the people departed in the afternoon. Many had tears in their eyes while leaving the holy land of Lord Krishna, and Guruji waved goodbye to people from His balcony.
Late evening, after evening prayers, those who still remained at the ashram did an OM Chanting together.
Thank you for joining us for this special time in Vrindavan. There's more to come soon, so stay tuned for the next adventure!
